Hannah Blaine, a senior Web Design and Interactive Media Program student was awarded the Jeremy M. Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Technical Studies. Hannah is a Central Bucks South student who plans to go to Millersville University to study User Interaction Design.  Hannah was nominated by her Instructor, Steve Guinan, for the scholarship.  The Jeremy M. Semanoff Memorial Scholarship that was established at Middle Bucks more than 10 years ago.

During his years at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, Jeremy demonstrated a high level of interest, motivation, and talent that he wove into a passion for Web design and multimedia.  In addition to his studies, Jeremy also participated in multiple community service and school events. In every instance, Jeremy was an excellent representative of our school, and always made Middle Bucks proud.  Jeremy passed away on November 13th, 2004.

In 2005 a scholarship fund – The Jeremy M. Semanoff Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Technical Studies – was established to remember and honor Jeremy.  Upcoming graduates of Middle Bucks Institute of Technology who demonstrate those same characteristics that made Jeremy an outstanding student are invited for nomination.  Specifically, those characteristics are:

  1. a high level of commitment to study
  2. the motivation and focus necessary to develop advanced skill sets
  3. a goal to continue his or her education in the same or similar field pursued at Middle Bucks.
