My name is Katie Houghton, and I am the Web Design & Interactive Media teacher here at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. I am excited about the constant influx of new technologies and trends we can bring to the classroom.
I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with degrees in Graphic Design and Industrial Design. I have held training, software development, web development, interactive media, graphic design, and consulting positions at numerous companies, including design boutiques, training centers, consulting firms, and technology firms. In addition, I have held leadership positions as Director at a Big Five consulting firm and Vice President with a startup. My background spans from the web to video. I also am certified in Adobe in all imaging products: Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, and Audition. Though our program does not currently use Apple, my certification spans from IT to Video: Final Cut, Motion, and MacOS. My years of experience in the field make me uniquely qualified for Web Design and Interactive Media.
