Keys to Success
The Web Design curriculum prepares the student for college and/or entry into the world of work. The Web Design student is asked to develop and use skills in high school which will be required in college and career.
Those skills include:
- Attending class regularly, arriving on time and bringing a readiness to learn.
- Organizing class materials in a 2 or 3 inch binder to file and later review handouts and previous tests.
- Learning basic terms and concepts – you need to know the vocabulary to speak the language of design.
- Critically thinking about relationships and outcomes to help the student understand and remember key learning objectives.
- Completing assigned daily work on a timely basis according to project expectations or rubric requirements.
- Working positively in teams to complete various assigned activities.
- Demonstrating subject matter competence through various tests and other forms of formal assessments.
- Participating in class discussions and asking questions.
- Taking advantage of field trip opportunities.
- Asking questions of classroom speakers.
- Practicing the “soft” skills such as common courtesy and respect for all.
- PROFESSIONALISM!
